Best4glasses Scrappage scheme

In light of the recent end to the government's car scrappage scheme, Best4Glasses have launched our own stimulus package for glasses, which is available to all customers with old or broken eyewear.

The new offer works in a similar way to the car scrappage scheme, with customers offered a discount on a new pair of glasses for every pair of old or damaged glasses handed in. Each old or broken pair of specs sent in entitles customers to 15% discount on a brand new pair from Best4Glasses.

The glasses collected in the scrappage scheme will be recycled to third world countries through the charity Lions Clubs International - the world's largest organisation dedicated to eradicating preventable and reversible forms of blindness. Lions Clubs collect and distribute around three million pairs of spectacles every year to deprived people in India and the African nations.

Managing Director of Best4Glasses Limited, Trevor Homer, says: "The scrappage scheme is great for getting rid of unwanted or outdated glasses. Not only do customers get a discount on a brand new pair, but they are also safe in the knowledge that their old glasses are going to those who really need them and cannot afford to buy their own.

"We see so many people wearing broken glasses or glasses with the incorrect prescription, so this is an opportunity for people to exchange these for a new pair, while enjoying a discounted rate. Whether people have glasses with only one arm or perhaps a pair that are taped together in the middle, we will accept glasses in any condition and hope the scrappage scheme will greatly aid the work of Lions Clubs International."

To trade an old or damaged pair of glasses in to the scrappage scheme, customers should simply post them to this FREEPOST address: FREEPOST RSTA-ESHX-RJKB, Unit E09 Hastingwood Industrial Park, Wood Lane, Erdington, Birmingham, B24 9QR, marking the envelope "SCRAPPAGE", and enclosing a note of their email address or postal address. . They will then receive a discount code that can be used to claim their 15% saving when purchasing a new pair of glasses from the website or by telephone.
